We’ll walk the space together, discuss your wish list, and explore any site-specific constraints. If you don’t have a survey, we’ll record measurements to create a base map for the design phase.

After the initial visit, our design phase begins. This stage is all about bringing your vision to life—with intentional layout, flow, and harmony with the surrounding environment. We go beyond just pools—we plan for landscaping, drainage, lighting, and irrigation. Each element is thoughtfully included to help you understand the entire scope and cost of the project. Our goal is to craft a complete, functional outdoor oasis.

Once the design is ready, we meet to present your custom design plan and a detailed step-by-step proposal. Unlike many builders who provide a single lump-sum price, we break down each phase of your project. You’ll receive clear estimates for the pool, hardscaping, landscaping, drainage, lighting, irrigation, and even fencing—giving you transparency and confidence in every dollar spent.

With the design and proposal approved, your project will be assigned a dedicated project manager who will walk you through every step of the journey—from selecting materials to scheduling and answering questions. Dan Skelton Designs is fully licensed and capable of handling permitting in-house, which saves time and ensures compliance. Your project manager will also keep you updated with a regularly adjusted construction schedule, so you always know what’s next.

We believe in fair and structured payments tied to project milestones—not large upfront deposits. Your investment is protected with a payment schedule based on progress, giving you control and peace of mind. As we move through each construction phase, your project manager will ensure everything meets our high standards of craftsmanship, quality, and communication.
